The Youth Platform of the European Talent Support Network (in the followings: Network) was established after the first European Youth Summit which was organized in the frame of the 15th International ECHA Conference in Vienna in March 2016. The Youth Platform aims to allow a more continuous cooperation of talented young people

  1. to discuss the development of gifted education in the countries of the Network from the youth perspective;
  2. to organize further European Youth Summits;
  3. to organize webinars, and other web-based seminars or interactive discussions;
  4. to create a more dynamic collaboration between talented young people of the Network supporting joint projects of talented young people.

In July 2016 the Youth Platform elected its interim representative and deputy representative, Armin Fabian and Lukas Kyzlik, respectively (short CV). The Youth Platform has a Facebook Group (open for members only) and will establish other forums of communication soon.

In August 2016 the Youth Platform had 33 members representing 15 countries, but this is an open, continuously expanding community. Members of the Youth Platform can be nominated by any Talent Centres and Talent Points of the Network. The eligibility requirements for joining our community are the following:

  • Every member should be at least 14 years old and younger than 30.
  • This community is specially created for gifted and talented students, so it is important that the nominating European Talent Centre and/or European Talent Point (or Associated Centre/Point) considers the nominee as gifted or talented.
  • The students shall use English effectively (taking part in conversations, writing and understanding written texts, etc).
  • Youth Platform members must be interested in participating and promoting of the transnational cooperation of talented young people and to spend a bit of their free time with this subject.

A Talent Point or Talent Centre of the Network may suggest maximum 3 members. The nominated students shall write a short ’’motivation letter” in which they present themselves, write about their hobbies, specify the reasons why they are interested in joining the Youth Platform, as well as the way they can help us.
